Bangladesh coach Dav Whatmore will quit his job after the home series against India.

Whatmore has decided not to renew his contract with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) which runs till the World Cup. He has communicated his decision to BCB over phone citing personal reasons.

However, Whatmore has agreed to an extension of the contract by one month till the ensuing tour of India to Bangladesh starting May 10.

The BCB has put on record Whatmore's contribution to Bangladesh cricket especially in raising the standard of the national team in international arena.

BCB has formed a committee to appoint a new coach.
