Sri Lanka win toss, elect to field St George's Grenada | April 19, 2007 1:43:01 AM IST
Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and opted to field in their last Super Eights match of the cricket World Cup at the Grenada National Stadium here today. Left-arm swing bowler Chaminda Vaas and off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan returned to the Lankan playing XI in place of pace bowler Dilhara Fernando and leg-spinner Malinga Bandara from the lineup which lost to Australia by seven wickets on Monday. Strike bowler Lasith Malinga, who missed the last two matches because of an ankle injury, was also left out. Ireland brought in batsman Kenny Carroll in place of Andrew White.
