More World Cup tickets on sale
Kingston (Jamaica) | April 10, 2007 4:15:05 PM IST

As the World Cup proceeds to its final stages some more tickets for the pre-summit and the summit clashes will be available for the spectators from Tuesday.

The tickets for the final match in Barbados and the two semi-finals in Jamaica and St. Lucia will be available for purchase online (www.cricketworldcup.com) and at the nine official ticket centres in the host venues.

For the much-anticipated final, category 1 and a few category 2 tickets are available while there are tickets in categories 1, 2 and 3 for both semi-finals. There are also a few Party Stand tickets for the second semi-final match April 25.

"This tournament is reaching an exciting stage now as we enter the second part of the Super Eights. A lot of teams are still in with a strong chance of making the top four and global interest is high," said Stephen Price, commercial director of the World Cup, in a statement.

"We are sure that the news of more tickets being available, through public ticketing, for the top games will be greeted enthusiastically. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, especially for regional spectators, and to ensure everyone has a fair chance of getting these tickets," he said.

From Wednesday, however, only Ticket Centres in Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica and Saint Lucia will still be selling tickets.
