Humiliated Proteas leave Guyana, bow to regroup Georgetown Guyana | April 09, 2007 4:47:38 AM IST
A humiliated South Africa left Guyana for Grenada this morning after 15 days stay here, to regroup. ''We will regroup, reassess every fault and will turn this as a blessing in disguise before our next match against the West Indies,'' said a visibly shaken captain Greame Smith. ''This was one day we have played badly and made mistake after mistake. ''We have given them opportunities and they grabbed them with both hands,'' said Smith. The Proteas have a crucial match against the West Indies. They have to beat the hosts at any cost if they want to stay in contention for the last four stage while a defeat would mean curtains for the West Indies. ''Those two points are up for us and we missed it and we will have to win all the matches from now,'' Smith added. UNI MT PDS PM1748
