Don't despair, we still have a chance: Bradshaw St John's Antigua | April 09, 2007 4:47:27 AM IST
West Indies fast bowler Ian Bradshaw has urged Caribbean fans to have patience and faith in the team, saying all is not lost for them and his side is still in contention in the World Cup. Brian Lara's team have to win all their remaining Super Eight league matches against South Africa, Bangladesh and England to have any hope of going through to the semi-final. ''We have to play near perfect games from here on,'' Bradshaw said. ''We still have dreams of lifting the Cup. It is not beyond us but first and foremost we have to take care of these three games.'' Bradshaw admitted that the slump in form after the first phase -- where the home side kept a clean slate -- had put pressure on the players. ''You are conscious of it. Family, friends and the fans are disappointed because they are looking for more from the team and we ourselves are really disappointed because we started well and just fell off in the last three games, which were unfortunately critical games for us. ''It is pretty straightforward for us from here on. We have to try and win each game and win as convincingly as possible,'' Bradshaw said. ''If we work hard, and we get past the Super Eights, then we are confident that we can play two good games, in the semi-final and the final, to win the Cup.'' UNI HSB PDS GC1546
