Cybage, Wipro, HSBC, Symantec, Tech Mahindra, Infosys and hosts S1 Corporation moved into the super eight stage today in the Vascon-S1 IT Cricket Cup being played at the Nehru Stadium here.

In the last league matches played over the weekend, Symantec scored a seven-wicket shock win over Cybage, thanks to a swashbuckling 62 runs off 42 balls by Salil Bidaye. Wipro scored a five-wicket win over IBM in a last league encounter.

Though BMC Software scored an exiting three-wicket win over Infoys, they could not make it to the last eight stage as Infosys had a better win record in other league encounters.

In the last match of the day, HSBC wrapped up Wipro for just 69 to remain on top of the pool. But Wipro, who had won in earlier league encounters, managed to make it to the super eight.
