Bangladesh's Reza to replace Baishya in World Cup Kingston (Jamaica) | April 07, 2007 3:15:06 PM IST
Bangladesh's Farhad Reza will replace his injured colleague Tapash Baishya in the World Cup squad. This follows reports that Baishya suffered ligament damage to his right ankle during his side's defeat to Australia in Antigua last week, said an International Cricket Council statement. Baishya would require six-eight weeks of rehabilitation before he regains full fitness. Reza is the eighth replacement player to be called up for the World Cup so far. Bangladesh's next game in the Super Eight stage is against South Africa Saturday at the Guyana National Stadium. (IANS)
