Woolmer murder: Jamaica Police search for three Pakistani supporters London | March 27, 2007 1:10:01 PM IST
Jamaica Police are reportedly on the lookout for three fanatical Pakistani cricket supporters in connection with the Bob Woolmer murder case. Described as "hangers-on", these supporters reportedly ran errands for their heroes before the World Cup game with Ireland. They have not been seen since coach Bob, 58, was found strangled at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel about two weeks ago. Sources named them as Hamad Malik, Erfan Chaudhary and Jundie Khan. "We'd like to eliminate them from our inquiries," The Mirror quoted police officials, as saying. According to the report, the three Pakistani cricket supporters supplied their heroes with halal meat, provided transport and were often spotted around the hotel in Kingston, Jamaica, where the Pakistan team stayed. But none of them have been seen since Woolmer's murder. Hamad Malik is believed to be a resident of London, Erfan Chaudhary is a medical technician from New York, while Jundie Khan, police think, has flown out to Hollywood, Florida, where he is believed to live.
