Sri Lanka set India 255-run target to win
Port of Spain | March 24, 2007 1:15:30 AM IST

Sri Lanka scored 254 runs for six wickets in 50 overs after India won the toss in a crucial Group B match of the World Cup at the Queen's Park Oval here Friday.

Upul Tharanga was the top scorer with 64 and Chamara Silva made 59, while left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan took two wickets.

While Sri Lanka are already through to the second round, India must win this game to book the second and last berth from this group. A loss will send India out of the 16-nation tournament.
