Toss will be crucial : Dravid
Port of Spain (Trinidad) | March 23, 2007 9:15:06 AM IST

Indian skipper Rahul Dravid acknowledged that it is imperative to win the toss in Friday''s match.

"The toss will be crucial for the team," said Dravid, speaking before the practice session at the Queen Park Oval.

Sri Lanka coach Tom Moody shared Dravid''s observation citing the toss could be the decider for the game.

"We''re looking forward to finishing it off with a positive," Moody said. "One big advantage is we''ve played a lot of good cricket on this wicket. It is not an easy wicket to adapt to.

"They tripped at the Bangladesh hurdle which was not expected by everyone. We''re expecting them to come at us hard tomorrow. We will be ready for that."

The Indians practiced for two hours, in a rain interrupted session, at the Oval. Tension loomed large over the faces of the squad as the team members huddled during the practice session.

All rounder Yuvraj Singh admitted that they were under pressure ahead of the decisive match on Friday.

"Obviously there is pressure, I wouldn''t deny it. We have come far from home and the whole country is looking forward to us doing well," said Yuvraj

Dravid, said the team was not contemplating any thoughts of defeat. "We''re trying to stay positive, win this game," Dravid said. "I''m trying not to entertain any negative thoughts."

It is a do-or-die situation for India, a loss at the hands of Sri Lanka would mean their elimination from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007. (IANS)
