Das top order batsman of Team Modi: Ravi Shankar Prasad

Union Minister for IT and Law Ravi Shankar Prasad today described Chief Minister Raghubar Das as a top-order batsman of Team Modi. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi talks about Team India where the the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers work together and if Modi Ji is the captain of the team then for certainly Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das is a top order batsman," Mr Prasad said while speaking at the valedictory session of the Momentum Jharkhand Global Investors Summit 2017 organised at the Khelgaon here. He said that momentum Jharkhand reflected a change in the thought and the mentality and symbolises hope for the people of the state. He said, "Jharkhand has finally arrived on the scene." He said that development of eastern region did not happen due to historical reasons as the growth process was hit due to policy paralyses but now things have changed. Mr Prasad said as the IT Minister of the country he was proud to inform that out of 125 crore people in the country 108 crore have mobile phones, 111 crore have Aadhar numbers, 35 crore people have smart phones and internet has reached to 50 crore people. He said that under Jan Dhan Yojana 27 crore bank accounts were opened which were linked with Aadhar and than connected with mobiles after which DBT for 84 schemes started which helped to save Rs 50,000 crore as role of middlemen abolished. He said in Jharkhand 3.37 crore people have been generated Aadhar number while bank accounts of 84 lakh poor people have been opened. He said that out of 23,000 pds shops in 20,000 shops ration was being distributed through e-pos while in 250 blocks of Jharkhand land records have been digitised. Mr Prasad said that Jharkhand had stood on the first position three years in a row in the area of providing government to people services. The IT minister said that in the last 2 years 72 mobile companies have set their shops in the country.

He asked the chief minister to make sure that Adityapur in Jamshedpur develops as a major electronic luster while STPIs would be set up in Dhanbad, Jasmshedpur, Deoghar and Bokaro. He said demonetisation was not meant to stop the flow and usage of cash but strengthen the country. He said that the move of demonestiation helped to break the back bone of the terrorists and the Maoists and has also ended hawala trade. Mr Prasad said neighbours China were shaken by the ISRO achievements as it launched 104 satellites.UNI AK AD2049
