Alert lineman Indradev Paswan saves major train disaster in Bengal

Alert lineman Indradev Paswan today averted a major traindisaster when he noticed cracked on the rail and waved a red flag to create attention of the guards of the Dn Rampurhat-Howrah Mayurakshi Fast Passenger near Pandaveswar station in Burdwan district of West Bengal, Eastern Railway officials confirmed. The rail line was vertically cracked, which took around 40 minutes to repair for restoration of busy section in the peak hours. Around 0700 hours when the packed train was speeding towards Andal leaving Pandaveswar station, lineman Indraveb Paswan was working near a cabin to clear the tracks suddenly he noticed the one of the rails was cracked vertically and immediately hoisted the red flag, which forced the drivers to used emergency brakes for halt. After forty minutes of repair work, the one was restored around 0810 hours, eyewitnesses said.UNI XC-PC BM
