Pak Rangers hands over a woman to Indian Army at Uri

A mentally challenged woman, who had crossed over to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), in October last year, was handed over to Indian Army in Uri sector yesterday, official sources said here today.

They said a non-local woman had crossed over to POK from Uri sector, about 100 km from here in north Kashmir in October last year, when Pak Rangers said that a woman had crossed over to their side.

The mentally challenged woman, who was not identified, was yesterday handed over to Indian troops at Uri post. Later she was handed over to police, sources said, adding she does not speak any languages of J&K. She could be from any other state of the country, sources said. UNI BAS SHS SHK 2214
