Four Panchaloha idols stolen from temple

Four Panchaloha idols, worth lakhs of rupees, were stolen from the ancient Sri Balaji Venkateswara temple at Injapur of Hayatnagar Mandal in Ranga Reddy district, early today.

According to police, the burglars entered the temple after broke open the doors and fled with idols. The burglars also attacked the watchman who prevented them from entering the temple.

The injured watchman Gnaneswar was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Locals complained to the Endowment and Police officials, who visited the spot, to install CCTVs in the temple.

A case has been registered and investigation is on, police added.UNI VV CS 1033
