Belgium's Prince Philippe will visit India from March 22-27 leading a 340-member Economic Mission, the biggest ever, to broaden existing bilateral ties.

The Belgian delegation, which will also include Princess Mathilde and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Steven Vanackere will visit Pune, Mumbai and Banlagore.

During the visit, the two sides will sign 28 agreements mainly between the business communities of the two countries. This is Prince Philippes fourth Economic Mission to India.

''Representatives from business and academic spheres are taking part in the mission which aims to further existing ties between the two countries and foster and expand bilateral trade and investments,'' a spokesperson for the Belgian embassy here said today.

The Economic Mission is multi-sectoral with important clusters in logistics and infrastructure, automotive, ICT, biopharma, renewable energy and aerospace. Multiple companies from other sectors, such as gems and jewellery, financial services, agro-industry, electronics, chemical industry, and the audiovisual industry will also participate.
