India AP Assembly adjourned over 'free zone' issue
Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned for over 15 minutes as the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) stalled the proceedings demanding an amendment to the Constitution to circumvent Supreme Court ruling treating Hyderabad as 'free zone' on the matters of employment. Agitated over the Apex Court's ruling rejecting the petition filed by the Andhra Pradesh Government on the issue, the Opposition TDP, CPI, CPI(M) and BJP moved adjournemnt motions pressing for setting aside of the listed business and immediate taking up of a discussion on this very important issue. Speaker N Kirankumar Reddy disallowed the adjournment motions. Following this, the Opposition TDP members from the Telangana region rushed to the Well of the House.
