70 'baratis' fell ill after consuming snacks

At least 70 'baratis' fell ill after having snacks at the bride's place in Nasirabad area of the district today.

According to the police, about 200 'baratis' accompanied bridegroom Mumtaz for his marriage in Nasirabad locality. After eating snacks, offered by the bride's family, many of them started vomiting and fell ill.

The sources said 70 of the 'baratis' were rushed to different hospitals and nursing homes for treatment.

Police is investigating into the incident.
