India Ex-corporator's house attacked
Defying prohibitory orders, unidentified persons fired several shots at an ex-corporator's house here last night even as the bandh continued for the third day in the district headquarters today after a jeweller was shot dead here two days back. Police sources said the miscreants broke open the door of Ani Soni's house and opened fire. On being retaliated with firing from inside the house, the attackers ran away. The jeweller, Rajendra Sahu (50), was gunned down by two unidentified persons at his shop on March 12. The markets in the town were later closed by the traders indefinitely following the incident to demand arrest of the assailants. -- (UNI) -- 14DR28.xml
