One more infant dies in Damoh

With the death of another infant here today after being administered a measles vaccine at an Anaganwadi Centre on March 12, the death toll has risen to four during the past 48 hours, police said today.

Three infants Gaurav Vishwakarma, Karnika Thakur and Rohini aged between 7 to 11 months died yesterday after being administered the vaccine in the Anganwadi centre numbers 6, 8 and 9 by health worker A N M Durga Tiwari on the evening of March 12 who was later arrested. The fourth infant Arman Vishwakarma died in the district hospital today.

Eleven children had been admitted in critical condition in the district hospital on March 12 who were still undergoing treatment.
