Ujjain | Friday, Jan 8 2010 IST

With another patient testing positive for swine flu, the number of such cases in this ancient temple town has risen to two.

''Rishinagar-resident Atul Valuskar was admitted on Wednesday with cough and cold. After the test, a sample was sent to Jabalpur for analysis. The report -- obtained last evening -- is positive,'' District Hospital Swine Flu In-charge H P Sonaniya said.

The patient Valuskar was undergoing treatment in the Isolation Ward and, after the report's obtainment, was referred to Indore where he was admitted at CHL Apollo Hospital. His condition was stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, the condition of Ujjain's first such patient Mayabai -- admitted to the same Hospital -- was improving. Of three samples sent from here, one tested negative.
