Kids drown in temple tank

Two children, aged 6 and 5, drowned in the Chandra Theertham Tank at the famous Swetharanyeswarar Temple at Tiruvengadu in this district yesterday. Police said the victims were identified as Kamali (6) and Suba (5), daughters of Baskar, a labourer of Tiruvengadu near Sirkazhi near here. The two children slipped into the tank and drowned when their parents were busy making purchases. -- (UNI) -- 02MS2.xml
