Adampur remained coldest place in Punjab.

The cold wave continued unabated in Punjab with temperatures remaining below normal at most places.

Adampur was the coldest at 3.2 degrees celsius.

The minimum temperature at Amritsar went up and was recorded at 7.0 degrees celsius, 2 degrees above normal.

Halwara near Ludhiana was also cold at 6.6 degrees while the minimum in the border town of Pathankot was recorded at 7.0 degrees.

The minimum at Bhatinda in Malwa belt was recorded at 6.6 degrees. The minimum at Chandigarh hovered at around 6.8 degrees celsius.

The MET office at Adampur has predicted cold to partially cold weather in the state in the next 24 hours. A few places in the state likely to receive lights showers.
