Srei to fund Rs 1000 crore in IE market in Rajasthan

Srei Equipment Finance Private Limited, a joint venture of Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited and BNP Paribas Lease Group, will provide fund and/or equipments worth Rs 1000 crore in infrastructure equipment(IE) leasing market in Rajasthan during the next fiscal.

The Company Chief Executive Officer DK Vyas told reporters here last evening the company entered IE market in the desert state with modest funding of Rs 60 crores a couple of years ago and now was set to finance Rs 500 crore in the current fiscal and would double the funding in the next year.

Rajasthan had gradually been emerged as most happening destination in the IE market and the company wanted to capitalise on the burgeoning opportunity in the state, Mr Vyas said.

Presently, the company was operating in the state with seven offices and soon three more offices would be opened to step up its activities. The company which presently provided funds/equipments worth Rs 5,000 crore countrywide wanted to take the figures to Rs 7,500 crore in the next year.

Mr Vyas was in the town to participate in the contractors/firms meet.
