India About 30 injured in Srinagar clashes
About 30 people, including some security personnel and photo journalists, were injured in fresh clashes in the civil lines area near here today. The trouble started when a group of people, raising 'pro freedom' slogans, took to the streets at Maisuma and Budshah Chowk. They were stopped by security forces from moving towards Lal Chowk, leading to clashes. Security forces resorted to lathicharge to disperse the demonstrators who were pelting stones. Later security forces burst teargas shells as the demonstrators continued pelting stones from narrow lanes and by lanes . Security forces also fired in the air to disperse the violent mob.
