India Police informer murdered
A police informer was brutally murdered at Shahapur in Gulbarga District last night. Police said that Dawal Malik Channur (35) was passing on information to the police, which led to the arrest of some criminals. Some criminals who took strong exception to Channur tiping off the police about their activities, forced him to drink liquor and shot him with a country made revolver after taking him to the outskirts of the town. They also slit his throat. Channur was rushed to the Medical College hospital where he succumbed to injuries. In another incident, a criminal, working as a collection agent in a Finance Company, was waylaid and murdered with boulders by some unidentified miscreants. -- (UNI) -- 05MR13.xml
