Two PoK residents escape from Uri police station in Kashmir
Srinagar | Sunday, Nov 29 2009 IST

Two residents of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), awaiting deportation, escaped from Uri police station in north Kashmir today.

They said Gowhar Rehman and Amin Badshah were arrested more then a year back while crossing over to this side illegally. Both had completed their one year jail term on October 2.

Official sources said the documents for their deportation were being prepared. However, they escaped early this morning.

A massive hunt has been launched to nab them.
