New Delhi | Saturday, Nov 28 2009 IST

Indian Premier League CEO Lalit Modi has been given the go-ahead by the Supreme Court to contest the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) election due to be held on December 7.

The permission was granted by the Supreme Court appointed election observer Justice N M Kasliwal, a retired apex court judge, yesterday.

Earlier, Justice Kasliwal had also permitted C P Joshi, a Rajasthan minister, to contest the RCA elections.
