India Flush out operations in Dimapur
A flush out operation was conducted by the Dimapur District Administration, Police, Assam Rifles, CRPF and Indian Reserve Battalion in Dimapur town following rampant extortions throughout the state. Official sources said today the flush out operation was aimed at deterring the underground cadres moving around with arms in civilian populated areas as well as to create awareness among the public not to harbour armed cadres in their homes. Sources said anyone found harbouring armed cadres would be booked under appropriate section of the law. It further stated such flush out operation would be continued anytime and anywhere in the state. During the operation yesterday, police seized one Pen Pistol of .22 Calibers and 3 gelatin sticks, 4 meters of fuse wire and 2 detonators from Niu Colony and Burma Camp area of Dimapur town. -- (UNI) -- 28CA1.xml
