India CPM's stand on bypolls to be announced after consulting CPI
Even though the two major Dravidian parties -DMK and the AIADMK- announced their party candidates for the coming byelections to Tiruchendur and Vandavasi assembly constituencies, their estranged allies, the left parties are still in a fix, with CPI(M) saying the party's stand would be announced in a couple of days after consultation with CPI. Talking to mediapersons here tonight, after the conclusion of party State Committee meeting, CPI-M State Secretary N Varadarajan said ''we will announce our party's poll stand after consultation with CPI leaders in a couple of days.'' He said the State Committee met here today to discuss the party's stand in the coming byelections to the two assembly constituencies and the present political situation.
