West Bengal ministers face ''ire'' of Trinamool Congress supporters
Siliguri | Monday, Nov 23 2009 IST

West Bengal Health Minister Surjya Kanta Mishra and state Urban Minister Ashok Bhattacharya allegedly faced the wrath of Trinamool Congress supporters at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in Matigara police station areas today.

Police said the protestors obstructed their way, raised slogans and waved black flags before the ministers to protest the ''poor condition'' of the health unit.

In order to bring the situation under control, police had to resort to lathicharge in which one of the agitators was wounded, the sources said.

The injured had been admitted to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, according to police.
