Chinese pair wins Asian women's doubles title

The world number one pair of Li Xiaoxia and Ding Ning of China won the women's doubles title in the 19th Asian Table Tennis Championship here today.

In the final which witnessed long rallies, the Chinese pair defeated Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young of Korea 11-9, 9-11, 12-10, 12-14, 11-9, 13-11.

The Chinese girls took the lead by winning the first game but the Koreans made it 1-1. Both teams were also locked 2-2 after which the Chinese did not give any space to their opponents.

In the semi-finals, Li Xiaoxia and Ding Ning had defeated Dang Ye See and Park Young Sook of Korea 4-0 while Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young beat feng Tinisvei and Wang Yue gu of Singapore 4-3.
