3 slapped with life term in UP

Three accused, including two brothers, were slapped with life terms and a fine of Rs 20,000 each for their involvement in a murder case four years ago.

Second Justice of Additional district and sesion court, Rama Jain found two brothers, Mumtaj and Nanhe Ansari with Ram Laut Yadav guilty of murder and eliminating the evidance and slapped with life terms with fines of Rs 20,000 each.

Mumtaj, with his brother Nanhe Ansari and friend Ram Lautan Yadav, killed a minor, Surendra Pratap Singh, on January 23, 2005 following a dispute and dumped the body into a cannal.

The court ordered to hand over the fined money to the mother of the deceased.
