Mulayam celebrate 71st birthday

Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today celebrated his 71st birthday.

Mr Yadav, who was present in the state party headquarters since this morning, met the party workers and accepted their wishes and greetings.

In his brief message to the party workers, Mr Yadav said there is no relevence to celebrate his birthday when a majority of people could not do so.

''On the day we should take promise to serve the poor, downtrodden and others for their betterment,'' he said.

Several leaders and workers thronged the party office since morning.

Thousands of Muslim leaders also reached the party office to greet Mr Yadav on his birthday.
