Ranchi | Sunday, Nov 22 2009 IST

Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were killed and seven injured as the ultras exploded anti-land mine vehicles near Jodibridge under Bishunpur police station near Gumla district today.

Deputy General of Police of CRPF Alok Raj told UNI over phone that the jawans were on their way to Jori Primary Health Centre which had been exploded by the rebels earlier.

''The anti-landmine vehicle carrying jawans of 41 battalion was damaged while two jawans were killed on the spot,'' Mr Raj said, adding that seven others were injured in the explosion.

Those injured were being send to the state capital for treatment, he added.
