Four killed, 20 injured in ULFA triggered blast
Guwahati | Sunday, Nov 22 2009 IST

At least four people were killed and 20 injured as suspected ULFA militants triggered three blasts in Nalbari district today.

The blasts are suspected to be engineered by the ULFA, police said, adding that intelligence agencies were expecting some kind of retaliation by the ULFA following the arrest of two of their top leaders--Chitrabon Hazarika and Sashadahr Chaudhury--in Bangladesh.

The first blast occurred in front of the Nalbari police station, the second went off in front of a mobile repairing shop while the third explosion took place in front of a hotel, police added.
