Guwahati | Sunday, Nov 22 2009 IST

Twin blasts rocked Nalbari town of lower Assams Nalbari district this morning, injuring several people. Preliminary reports said that the first blast occurred at about 1000 hours in front of the Sadar police station. Less than 10 minutes later, a more powerful explosive went off barely 10 feet from the first spot. Several people have been critically injured in the blasts. The injured were taken to a nearby civil hospital, while those seriously hurt have been referred to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital here. The ULFA is suspected to be behind the blast.
