India Police conduct Mock drill to test preparedness of its forces
On the backdrop of threat about terrorists attack in the IT hub, city Police today conducted a mock drill to check the preparedness of its forces. The exercise was conducted with assistance of the second para batallion (special forces) stationed in Bangalore by the Ministry of Defence, according to a release here. A terrorist attack was simulated in one of the towers of the 'ITPL' in Whitefield. Apart from the Bangalore police and commando force from the second para batallion, the fire force, ambulance, bomb disposal squads and different state intelligence units also participated. Top officials including City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari and Additional Commissioner of Police M R Pujar also took part in the exercise. -- (UNI) -- 21DR100.xml
