Tailor held for making hoax bomb call

A tailor was today arrested for making a hoax bomb call to Bengaluru International Airport here.

Police said Basavaraj alias Abdul Salim, under the influence of liquor, called on his mobile at 1730 hrs yesterday and said a bomb was placed in the airport and it would explode in an hour.

Bomb experts and sniffer dogs searched the airport premises for more than five hours and the threat turned out to be a hoax.

But the police succeeded in locating the culprit with the help of his mobile number and nabbed him at Nelamangala, 20 km from here.
