Two held for twin-murder in Kerala

Police today arrested two persons in connection with a twin-murder at Cheroor in this district of Kerala last Tuesday.

Police said the accused identified as Murulesan(25) and Selvaraj(21), hailing from Dindugal in Tamil Nadu were arrested 72 hours after the incident.

The deceased Vishalkshi(70) a retired school teacher was living with her younger sister Saraswathy (67), since both were spinsters.

On interogation, the accused admitted that they had heated arguments with the deceased over wages on coconut plucking and in a fist of rage and sudden rush of blood they committed the murder.

Ornaments and a mobile phone were seized from the accused, police added.
