''We had only planned to blow up the railway track, but the train fell under its trap due to the mistake of the new members,'' he said.

He also denied the reports that the train was targeted as there was a possibility of a large number of securitymen travelling in it.

Dealing a jolt to Jharkhand going to five-phase Assembly elections from next week, the Maoists had blown up Howrah-Mumbai main railway track leading to derailment of 321 Up Tata-Bilaspur passenger train near Posaita. Eight of the ten bogies jumped the tracks following the blast.
