India Haryana minister says no panic due to swine flu
Haryana Health Minister Geeta Bhukkal today urged the people not to panic due to Influenza A H1N1, but added that there was a need to be conscious of it and treat it promptly. In a statement issued here today, Ms Bhukkal said the State Health authorities were keeping a vigil and even the Chief Minister was himself monitoring the situation. She said the State Health Department was taking all measures to screen suspected cases of swine flu and treat those found suffering from the disease. All Deputy Commissioners and District Education Officers had been instructed to educate the parents and teachers about the preventive measures of Influenza A H1N1. In case, they found any suspected case, they should bring him to the nearest hospital she said.
