India IT Department recovers Rs 26 cr in undisclosed income
The Deparment of Income Tax has recovered undisclosed income amounting to Rs 26 crore during raids conducted at the offices and residence of a builder at Indore, Ujjain and Mumbai during the past two days. Director General (Investigation), Madhya Pradesh, Brajesh Gupta told UNI that the search operation were being carried out in the establishments of the builder for the past two days which was completed today. The search operations were conducted at 14 places in Indore, Mumbai (4) and Ujjain (2). He said that a number of incriminating documents had been recovered from the premises of the builder during the search operations besides cash amount of Rs 29 lakh and jewellery worth Rs 68 lakh. The Department had identified 13 bank lockers of the builder which would be opened from next week. The Department registered a case against the builder. -- (UNI) -- 21DR76.xml
