Cong forms committee for civic polls

The Chhattisgarh Congress here has announced formation of a committee to prepare for the coming civic polls in the state.

Party spokesperson Rajesh Bissa, in a statement issued here, said that the committee would comprise President of the Chhattisgarh Congress Dhanendra Sahu besides former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, MP Mohsina Kidwai, Leader of the Opposition in the Chhattisgarh Assembly Ravindra Choubey, former Central Minister Vidyacharan Shukla as members besides other senior party leaders.

The committee was formed on the directives of the in-charge General Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Congress V Narayan Swamy.
