3 policemen suspended for dereliction in duty

Three constables were suspended for dereliction of duty in this Uttar Pradesh district here today.

Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Rahul Raj said Constable Virendra Narayan and Zilurrehman were suspended on the charge of helping an undertrial to escape while Constable Ram Anjore was suspended for firing on Station Officer of Sarpatha.

The SO had not sanctioned the leave application of Constable Ram Anjore and angry Constable had opened fire upon him.

Superintendent of Police Ram Bharose suspended them.
