India Infiltration bid foiled in Poonch
Security forces today foiled an infiltration bid from across the border in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said. A group of militants opened fire on 7 Raj Rifles Battalion deployed at Trikundi forward post in Datote Nallah of Balakote Sector this evening at around 1900 hrs to infiltrate into the Indian territory, sources told UNI, adding that security forces retaliated and the militants were pushed back. Due to dark and dense forests, the number of militants could not be ascertained. The search operation will be launched tomorrow early morning, sources added.
