WB, Kerala, K'taka, Maharashtra enter semi

Hosts Kerala crushed Madhya Pradesh (11-0), West Bengal trounced Andhra Pradesh (5-0), Jammu and Kashmir drubbed North East-2 (7-0), Orissa beat Uttar Pradesh (2-0) and Maharashtra beat Punjab (1-0) on the third day of the group league matches of the 1X All India BSNL Football tournament being played here today.

West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra entered the semis from Group A, B, C and D respectively. Kerala crushed MP by 11 goals. Captain M K Suresh scored half dozen goals, Prasad two goals and Santhosh Kumar, Afsal and Shabeerscored one goal each for winners. At half time the score was 6-0.

In other matches, West Bengal beat AP by 5-0, Ayan Chowdhury scored four goals and Gowtham Chowdhury scored one goal.

In other match, Jammu and Kashmir beat North East-2 7-0, J & K captain Tameem Ahamed scored five goals and Shafeek Ahammed two goals. At half time the score was 1-0.

In other match, Orissa beat UP by two goals, S K Heera scored both the goals. In another match, Maharashtra beat Punjab by a solitary goal, scored by Hussain in the second half.
