3 killed, 6 hurt badly as van hits lorry

Three persons were killed and six seriously injured when the van in which they were travelling to Sabarimala in Kerala hit a stationary lorry at Valakur near Tindivanam in this district.

Police said the van carrying pilgrims was proceeding to Sabarimala from Chinnakancheepuram when the mishap occurred killing three persons, including the van driver, on the spot.

Six persons, who were injured, were admitted to the Tindivanam General Hospital in a serious condition.
