India NCC cadets celebrate Raising Day
As many 75 Naval NCC Cadets from various colleges and schools participated in a 'Run for Fun' and other programmes organised as part of National Cadet Crops Raising Day. The run was flagged off by NCC Kozhikode Group Commander, Col V K Punia, in the presence of senior officers, said an official release here today. Besides, Naval NCC cadets, including girl cadets of Malabar Christian College, donated blood at the Government Hospital, Kottaparambu. Blood donation camps would also be held Kozhikode Medical College Hospital by Naval NCC Cadets of St Joseph, Devagiri and SNG Colleges tomorrow as part of the nation-wide programme. The cadre also visited ''Asha Bhavan'' and ''Ashagram'' homes for Destitutes at Westhill and Chelannur respectively and distributed sweets to the inmates, the release added. -- (UNI) -- 20MS38.xml
