Rain toll rises to 15 in TN Chennai | Sunday, Nov 8 2009 IST
With the toll climbing to 15 today, rains atlast abated after two days of deluge, even as the well marked Low Pressure over Comerin area moved north westwards bringing the much needed relief to the people. Weather office sources said yesterday's fresh Low pressure over Comerin area and its neighbourhood, moved north westwards towards the Arabian sea and lay centred off Lakshadweep coast as a well marked low pressure, while the trough of low pressure over the bay moved towards southern parts of South east bay. The sources said there would be let up in rains as both the low pressures moved away from the Tamil Nadu coast. The weathermen have predicted scattered and isolated rainfall in coastal districts and in interior parts of Tamil Nadu with a possibility of few spells of heavy rain for the next 24 hours. Chennai city would have generally cloudy skies with the possibility of one or two spell of rains. -- (UNI) -- 08MS13.xml
