Action initiated against 9 officials found absent in Kashmir Srinagar | Sunday, Nov 8 2009 IST
The Jammu and Kashmir government has initiated action against nine officials, who were found absent from duty in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, official sources said here today. They said following complaints that some officials were not regularly attending their duties, Additional District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Mohammad Amin Bhat paid a surprise visit to the offices. During the inspection, nine officials of different offices, including Treasury Office, Executive Engineer Roads and Buildings (R&B), Tehsil Social Welfare Office and District Fund Office, Budgam were found absent.
